TAI CHI

Tai Chi is frequently referred to as “meditation in motion”, and for good reason. Falls are the leading cause of injury and death in older adults. The CDC reports that each year 36 million seniors experience a fall! More than 32,000 seniors die from fall-related injuries annually!

Studies show Tai Chi reduces falls in older adults by as much as 50%, making it one of the most effective balance and coordination practices available. It is gentle on the joints, improves flexibility, lowers stress, and enhances focus. For adults 55 and over, Tai Chi is a safe, low-impact practice that not only keeps the body steady but also calms the mind.

Phil teaches a class called "Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention". It was specifically created by a Chinese physician who has been teaching Tai Chi for over 40 years. Every move in this class is intentionally designed to help with balance, fall prevention, arthritis relief, and mental focus.
